Plating-Free Silver that Performs
We don’t rhodium plate our Signature Sterling Silver, and we don’t offer gold-plated or rose gold-plated sterling silver either. Why? Because plating fades. Over time, even within a year or two with regular wear, plated finishes on silver wear off, leaving you with a dull, uneven color.
This leaves you with two options: Replate your ring, potentially for more than you paid, and do it again every couple of years. Or, replace your ring entirely — not exactly the ideal symbol of your lasting love.
Instead, we use a proprietary sterling silver alloy that’s brighter, harder, and more tarnish-resistant than standard sterling silver, so it does not need rhodium plating. As a bonus, the added hardness means it is much better at holding gemstones in place.
This does not mean we’re entirely against plating, provided it is on the right material. For tungsten and titanium, we offer plating in select styles, as these substrates are significantly harder and allow the plating to hold up better over time.
